Founded to offer a better, more personal alternative to big-box hosting and cookie-cutter web services, TOPSweb is independently owned and committed to building long-term relationships. Our Story
TOPSweb Solutions was created to give small businesses the kind of support and service they deserve—personal, reliable, and free from the complexity and cost often found in big-box web services.
The name TOPSweb carries special meaning. It honors James “Jim” Donahoe, a small business owner and entrepreneur from Eastern Kentucky. Jim had a lifelong fascination with toy tops—simple, elegant, and full of motion—and that spirit of creativity, independence, and craftsmanship lives on in the work we do. The company was named in his memory by his grandson, Michael Donahoe, as a tribute to the values passed down through generations.
TOPSweb was built from real-world experience in tech and telecommunications, paired with a growing frustration at seeing great businesses struggle online. Too many small business owners were forced to either become web experts themselves or put their trust in bloated services that didn’t deliver.
We set out to change that.
From the start, TOPSweb focused on providing clear, dependable web solutions—WordPress builds, managed hosting, plugin support, SEO tools, and more—delivered with a personal touch. Clients came through referrals and stayed because they felt supported, empowered, and respected.
Today, we’re expanding to serve more entrepreneurs across the country—but our mission remains the same:
